Important: Google Pay offers and deals are no longer available in the U.S. version of the Google Pay app.
To earn deals, offers, and rewards, select where you want to find deals and follow the steps. You can find deals in:
- The Google Pay app
- Google Maps
- Google Search
- Web ads

How to earn cash back rewards
If you have the Google Pay app, you’re directed to the app after you click the offer in Google Maps. Follow the instructions in the app to earn and redeem the reward.
If you don’t have the Google Pay app, follow these instructions.
- Find and select an offer.
- To enroll a card, tap Get started.
- If you aren’t signed in to your Google Account, you’re asked to sign in.
- Tap Accept & enroll card.
- Follow the instructions to enroll in a credit or debit card.
- Tap Done.
Tip: Once your card is enrolled, the offer is activated.
Which cards are eligible?
You can use most cards from:
- Visa, includes your Google Pay balance card
- Mastercard
- American Express
These card types aren't eligible for offers and rewards:
- Health savings account (HSA) cards
- Flexible savings account (FSA) cards
- Private label charge cards from a specific store
- Prepaid cards, like Visa Buxx
- Prepaid insurance cards
- Gift cards
- Cards added to Google Pay directly from another mobile payments app or credit card-issuer app
Tip: You can’t use PayPal for offers and rewards, even if your PayPal account is connected to an enrolled card.
To qualify and earn a reward, you must complete the terms for the offer.
When you make an eligible purchase:
- Make sure your purchase meets any minimum purchase amount.
- Complete the purchase before the offer expiration date.
- Make any required purchases with the card that you enrolled in offers and rewards.
- If it’s a retailer offer, you can use either your actual, physical card or the electronic version of the card on your device.
- To make sure your offer is applied when you use a debit card, authorize your purchase with your signature instead of your PIN.
After you complete a purchase that meets the terms for the offer, download the Google Pay app to receive the cash back. Any cash back rewards are deposited into your money in Google Pay.
Tip: It can take several days for your reward to appear. You also receive a confirmation email about the cash back.

How to redeem promo codesIn Google Maps, below the merchant info, you can find available deals.
- Find and select a deal.
- Next to the promo code, tap Copy.
- Tap Use online. You’re taken to the merchant website.
- Tip: If you want to redeem the deal later, you can find the promo code in your email from "Google Pay."
- Browse the merchant website.
- Add items to your cart that meet the promotion requirements.
- At checkout, when prompted, enter your promo code.
How to find Groupon deals
How to get Groupon deals- Open the Google Maps app.
- At the top, in the search bar, enter a category or merchant.
- Select a specific business.
- Under “Overview,” below the merchant info, you can find the available Groupon deals.
- To buy the deal, tap Buy on Groupon.
- When you tap Buy on Groupon, the app sends you to the Groupon app or website.
