About offers & rewards

When you complete qualifying actions, like make a purchase, send money, or refer friends, you can earn rewards with the Google Pay app.

Types of offers

Welcome offers
If you’re new to Google Pay, you may have the chance to earn rewards. When you use app features for the first time, like when you send someone money or use the app to make a contactless payment, you may earn a reward.
Merchant offers

If you opt in to Google Pay rewards and complete the terms of the offer, you can earn:

  • Discounts
  • Cash back
  • Other types of merchant rewards that are available
Collectibles

To earn collectible pieces, like stamps, coins, or cards, you must complete certain tasks required in some offers. You may be able to earn a certain collectible for a certain action or you may earn them at random.

To collect the overall reward, you must earn all of the required collectible pieces, like a set of all 5 different stamps.

In general, there are no partial rewards for these offers. You can only earn the reward for a particular collectibles offer once.

Tap offers
Tap offers are rewards you can earn for contactless payments with the Google Pay app. Transactions may include purchases at particular types of merchants. To qualify for the reward, you must make a qualified purchase before the offer expires. If the offer is card linked, before you make the contactless payment, you must enroll eligible cards for offers.
Google Pay balance card offers
