Troubleshooting steps for some common issues with deals, offers, and rewards.

Fix common issues with deals, offers, & rewards

Can’t enroll card

Some cards aren’t eligible for card-linked offers. View cards eligible for card-linked offers.

If you already opted in to Google Pay rewards and your card can’t be enrolled, try again with a different card.

If you recently received a new version of an existing card:

  1. Remove your old card from the Google Pay app or pay.google.com.
  2. Add the new card as a payment method in the Google Pay app or pay.google.com.
  3. Enroll your eligible card.
Tip: Cards can only be enrolled once. Make sure that you or someone else hasn't already enrolled the card in the program.
Deal expired

Deals expire after a certain date. You can find expiration dates and activation periods in the deal details and terms.

Most deals follow these guidelines:

  • In-store deals and some online deals: End 45 days after activation or at the deal expiration date, whichever comes first.
  • Certain online deals: End 24 hours after activation or at the deal expiration date, whichever comes first.
Issues with Groupon deals Pending reward disappeared

If you had a pending reward that disappeared, check whether you already received a reward or loyalty points through another program:

  1. Check Google Pay for the reward transaction. Learn how to find Google Pay transactions. If you already received a reward in another program, the transaction linked to the reward may appear as a refund in Google Pay.
  2. Check the merchant cash back offer criteria.

Confirm your card is enrolled for card-linked offers

Important: Make sure you:

  1. Open the Google Pay app .
  2. At the top right, tap your profile picture or Account .
  3. Tap Settings and then Offers & rewards.
  4. Under “Enroll your cards for linked offers,” check for a status message.

Didn’t receive reward
After the eligible action or transaction, rewards can take a few days to appear. Before troubleshooting further, allow a week for the rewards to appear.
