When you create a family on Google, a calendar called 'Family' is automatically created. Anyone who joins your family or has access to your family calendar can find it when they open Google Calendar on any device on which they're signed in.
Learn how the family calendar works
- Anyone in the family or anyone with access to your family calendar can:
- Make changes to events on the family calendar.
- Manage how the family calendar is shared.
- Edit the family calendar's name.
- On your computer, you can share the family calendar with non-family members.
- If someone leaves the family group, they will lose access to the family calendar.
- If a family manager deletes the family group, the family calendar and related events must be deleted manually.
- The calendar owner will get an email notification when a user under the age of 13:
- Shares the family calendar
- Makes the family calendar public
- Changes member permissions
