You can change your Google News settings, like your:

- Video playback options
Change settings through the app
- Open your Google News app .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial News settings .
- Tap the setting that you want to change.
Change story display settings
You can change your settings to see more headlines at once and make story thumbnails smaller.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open your Google News app .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial News settings .
- Turn on Mini Cards.
Available general settings
Depending on your device and app version, you can set your:
- Languages and regions of interest: Pick up to two languages and places of interest.
- Dark theme: Use dark colours in place of light colours. Turn on or off in device settings. Learn how to use a dark colour scheme.
- Mini cards: List stories with smaller images and words.
- Sources and topics to get less of: If you’ve chosen not to get a publication, you can choose to get it again.
- Data Saver mode: Pick when to save mobile data.
- Auto-play videos: Pick whether to play videos automatically always, never or only on Wi-Fi.
- Temperature units: Pick Fahrenheit, Celsius or Kelvin.
- Location: Learn how to update your location on Google. For Google News and other apps, choose which apps use your Android phone’s location.
