Video history is Nest’s cloud-based video recording and storage service. With a Nest Aware subscription, your Nest camera automatically stores video securely to the Nest cloud so you can access it anytime, anywhere. This means that you don’t need to press record or switch out memory cards for your Nest camera.

Watch your recorded video history
- You can securely view your recorded video anytime in the Nest app or at home.nest.com.
- You can also share access to your video history when you invite other people with Family Accounts.
- On your phone or tablet, use the Nest app’s Sightline or event history to watch your video history and see snapshots of moments where your camera detects motion or sound. You can also watch video history on your computer.
Note: You can also get camera events with video clips in the Home app's Feed and History.
Save and share your favorite video clips
You can create and save video clips and timelapses from your video history in the Nest app.
You can share the video clips with friends and family on social media. You can also download clips to store them on your computer or send them to anyone in an email.
You can store up to a total of 3 hours of video clips in the clip library of home.nest.com for as long as you like.
