Change device names in the Google Home app

Note: This only applies if you’ve set up your device in the Google Home app. If you’ve set up your device in the Nest app, learn how to change the location or room name of your Nest product in the Nest app. 

1. Make sure that your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your Nest device.
2. Open the Google Home app .
3. Tap Favourites or Devices ..
4. Tap and hold your device's tile  Settings  or More   Settings .
5. Tap Device information Name.
6. Enter a new name tap Save.
