Ask your Assistant to remember things

Get a little help remembering things. Ask your Assistant to remember your mom's favorite cake, your bike locker number, or the last place you stored your passport.

Note: If Digital Wellbeing is enabled, this feature may be restricted or blocked by Downtime, Filters, or Do not disturb. Learn more about Digital Wellbeing.

Step 1. Tell your Assistant what to remember

Say "Hey Google, Remember that [thing to remember]". For example, you can say "Hey Google, remember that my spare keys are in the kitchen cabinet."

Step 2. Ask about what your Assistant remembers

Say "Hey Google, where/what is [thing to remember]". For example, you can say "Hey Google, where are my spare keys?"

Optional: Delete what you've asked your Assistant to remember

Note: You can choose to delete your activities individually or delete all.

Delete a single item

  1. Open myactivity.google.com.
  2. Find the item you’d like to delete, then tap More menuand then Delete.

Delete all items

  1. Open myactivity.google.com.
  2. Tap Delete All and then Confirm.

Delete personal details

Some of the information you tell your Assistant will update your settings in addition to logging the query in My Activity. Examples include your nickname, information about your close contacts, & important addresses. For this information, deleting the history from my activity will not delete it from settings. To delete this information, you can:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap your account and then Assistant settings.
  3. Tap on the category of personal details you'd like to remove in the "You" tab.
  4. Find the personal detail you'd like to remove and delete it.
