Return a device for a refund

Important: Before returning your device, make sure that you perform a factory reset on your device. A factory reset clears your data from your device.

To return the Nest device that you purchased for a refund, review the refund policy and follow the return steps of the retailer from which you bought it.

  • If you purchased the device from the Google Store, find out how to return a device for a refund.
  • If you purchased the device from a different retailer, check the retailer's website or contact them for return information.

Make a warranty claim

If your device is defective through no fault of your own:

  1. Confirm your device is currently covered under warranty. The warranty status checker may take 30 seconds or more to find your device’s information.

  2. After you’ve confirmed that your device is currently under warranty, fill out this form to file a claim.
