Return a device for a refund
Important: Before returning your device, make sure that you perform a factory reset on your device. A factory reset clears your data from your device.
To return the Nest device that you purchased for a refund, review the refund policy and follow the return steps of the retailer from which you bought it.
- If you purchased the device from the Google Store, find out how to return a device for a refund.
- If you purchased the device from a different retailer, check the retailer's website or contact them for return information.
Make a warranty claim
If your device is defective through no fault of your own:

Confirm your device is currently covered under warranty. The warranty status checker may take 30 seconds or more to find your device’s information.
- After you’ve confirmed that your device is currently under warranty, fill out this form to file a claim.
