Very nice! 

This Performance Max troubleshooter should be helpful for those new to Performance Max in seeing better results faster... or discovering why it is behaving as it does with it's AI modeling. 

If you are not getting the results you want from Performance Max it needs your attention to correct.  Use this tool and audit everything to optimize.

would like to see something similar for "My campaign isn't running" - which accounts for a large percentage of the queries here.

Specifically, many people start out with PMax and it sits there and does nothing. Given that support no longer helps with such things, it looks like the potential customer spend is being thrown away because the automated system is imperfect.

My account says something about a new campaign and someone asked if I was sending out ads. Which I am not. I know something was wrong with this phone. It looks like several people are using the acct . Idk what to do. I think I will sit and cry .

The new troubleshooter for Performance Max spend aims to assist advertisers in understanding and addressing fluctuations and changes within their campaigns. 

It helps to elucidate the reasons behind increases or decreases in spend, as well as overall performance. 

By accessing the troubleshooter, advertisers can gain insights into the causes and effects of these changes, enabling them to make informed decisions to optimize their campaigns effectively. 

This tool is now available within the Google Ads Help Center, offering a resource for advertisers to better manage their Performance Max campaigns.

Why did PMAX limit the number of country exclusions to 122? The biggest issue with PMAX is getting clicks from countries we don't target and cannot serve and therefore causing spend and performance fluctuations. This is especially applicable if we are using PMAX for local service businesses such as Lawyers, Doctors, etc

Hi NicH_au,

I hear what you are saying. It could be in the way you setup the campaign or something more to troubleshoot with your specific use. Please use this information (<--click it) to check your setup. Make sure you really cover the section titled: Ads serving in unintended locations.

As for refunds... if the error is in your setup the error is yours. If the error is truly with Google Ads (100%) they do refund such false clicks. 

Do use the info I have provided and then let us know what you discover after that.
