I have just setup my Google Ads campaign. How long will it take before it becomes active on the web? Is it immediate or is there an initial waiting period?

I have waited close to four days for approval.  Getting a little frustrated.  Thinking I had done something wrong, I deleted my first ad group and started from scratch.  Worried that this just started the process over again and I'll still be waiting days from now.  Some explanation would be great.

yes, changing most anything starts the process over again.

generally, to help speed-up the approval process, be certain that the
entire account, keywords, ads, landing-pages, entire website, business,
business-practices, and business-model, adhere to all current policies,
and make no such changes until after the ad status changes.

otherwise, this is primarily a peer-to-peer public community forum --
community-members cannot explain account-specific review details.

posting, here in public, more specific details, such as
the specific website url, ad-text, landing-page url, etc. --
within a new thread -- may sometimes help to allow other
community-members to offer more specific suggestions.

otherwise, the best likely course is to not make any changes
and then contact customer-support if the review is taking more
than a few days or so --

for the future, one possibility is to create and pause the ad
about a week before the ad is wanted, then resume the ad
after the review, just prior to when the ad is wanted live --
paused ads are also checked for most policy issues.
