About payment processing times

 

Bank account (also known as direct debit)

Processing time:

  • It can take several days to process your payment.
  • If your account is new, your ads will run once you've verified your bank account. If you'd like your ads to show in the meantime, you can use a credit card to pay for costs.
  • If your account isn't new, just assign your bank account as a primary payment method. Again, it'll work once your bank account is verified.
  • If you don't want your ads to run immediately after your bank account is verified, make sure that you pause your campaigns.
  • Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your Google Ads account.

Banelco and PagoMisCuentas.com

Making payments through Banelco and PagoMisCuentas.com is available only to Google Ads accounts that have a billing address in Argentina and the Argentine Peso (ARS) as the selected currency. If you select Banelco or PagoMisCuentas.com as your account's payment method, then you'll be able to make payments in four ways:

  • At a cash machine in the Banelco network
  • On the PagoMisCuentas.com website
  • Via your bank's online banking service
  • At the counters available for cash payments

After you choose this payment method, your Google Ads account will be assigned a unique reference number. Make sure that you include this number whenever making a payment so that we can match the funds to your account. Payments will typically reach your Google Ads account within three to five working days.

LGU+

If your account is on the manual payments setting, you can make a secure payment using local credit card, online money transfer or a virtual bank account through our payment partner, LGU+.

Make a payment by LGU+

To make a payment using LGU+, follow these directions, making sure that you're using Internet Explorer as your browser:

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com.
  2. Select the tool icon  and under 'Billing', choose Billing summary. Go there now
  3. Click the Make a payment button.
  4. Enter the amount that you'd like to pay and click Make a payment.
  5. Complete your payment using the secure LGU+ website that appears.

You should see your payment credited to your Google Ads account within 24 hours. Contact us if you don't see your payment appear after more than one day.

Boleto bancário

You can pay the boleto on the day that it was generated, or schedule the payment for a more convenient date, bearing in mind the eight-day expiry period. If you miss this period, you can generate a new boleto and discard the old one.

Processing time: Once you've submitted your boleto at your bank or your bank's online boleto payment page, your payment should be processed within about three working days. If you're making your first payment or your account was out of funds, your ads will typically start running at this point. Continue to make payments as needed in the future. You can issue and pay boletos in any amount over R$40.00.

Single-use credit card

Processing time: Just like physical credit cards, your ads will start serving almost immediately after you've made a payment.

In some cases, Google Ads may test a small charge on your card to make sure that it's valid. You won't actually pay that test amount, but the amount of your payment will be reduced by it. For example, if you decide to charge £300 to your card, Google Ads may make a test charge of £1 and your card will be charged £299 to run ads.

Once your single-use card's expiry date or credit limit is reached, make sure that you generate another single-use card and enter the information in your account for future payments. Otherwise, your payment could be declined. For all other payment declines, please contact your local banks.

Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your Google Ads account.

Money Transfer

Once we receive your money transfer, we'll send you an email. Your ads will typically start running then if they had stopped or if this is your first payment. If you're refreshing your balance, your ads will continue to run.

Processing time: Typically your payment will be processed in two to five working days, depending on your location. In some cases, it can take up to 30 days. That's because a money transfer depends on a few factors, including local bank processes. Please keep all records of a payment until you see that it has reached your Google Ads account.

If your payment isn't showing

If you're worried that your payment is taking too long, there are a couple things that you can do to check that your payment is on its way:

  • Check that your funds have been withdrawn from your bank account. If they haven't, contact your bank.
  • Check with your bank that the funds were transferred to the correct account. The account number should be the same as the one listed in our payment instructions (generated when you made a money transfer payment in your Google Ads account).

If it's been over two weeks since you initiated the transfer and you still can't see your payment reflected in your account, you can contact us. You'll need to include a valid proof of payment with this contact form (by clicking the 'Choose File' button). 

How to include a valid proof of payment

A valid proof of payment follows these guidelines:

  • It can be a scanned copy of your receipt or a screenshot of your bank's online statement.
  • It must be in an uneditable format, such as .jpg, .gif or .png.
  • It must include the following information:
    • The date that the transfer was made. If possible, show all transactions for five days before and after the payment.
    • The amount and currency of the payment.
    • The beneficiary of the funds (that's Google Ads).
    • The name of the remitting bank.

    Connection problems and payments

    If you can't see your payment credited to your account within two or three hours, it's possible that the online connection between your bank and GlobalCollect was interrupted. This happens sometimes, unfortunately. 

    More on interrupted connections

    Here's what you can expect, based on the type of connection interruption that you encounter:

    • Temporary interruption: GlobalCollect will receive a payment notice from your bank but the connection to Google might be interrupted. You won't receive an error message, but your payment will be applied to your Google Ads account after it's been processed. This can take as long as five days.
    • Permanent interruption: You'll receive an error message about an unsuccessful payment. If you want, you can make a non-real time bank transfer to GlobalCollect, which can take five to 10 working days before being credited to your account.

    Bank transfer using Giropay

    Processing time: Funds will be credited to your Google Ads account typically within two hours, but it can sometimes take longer. Make sure that you keep all payment records and receipts until you see that the payment has reached your Google Ads account.
