Change your Internet Explorer settings

The security settings in your Internet Explorer browser are likely preventing you from signing in. Below are possible solutions to your issue – we recommend you try as many as needed until you can sign in.

These directions are for Internet Explorer 7.0 -- if you're using a different version, the menu names and process might differ.

Temporary solution using new browser windows
  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account at https://ads.google.com.
  2. When you see "Click here to continue," right-click the link and select Open in New Window.
  3. Your account should then open successfully in a new window.

To get into your account, you'll have to do this each time you sign in.

Add Google Ads as an allowed site
  1. From your browser's Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Click the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Click Sites.
  4. In the text field, enter https://ads.google.com or your country-specific Google domain, such as https://ads.google.es, if you usually use that URL.
  5. Click Allow.
  6. Click OK.
Add Google as a trusted site

This solution might not work if you have restrictive security settings enabled for your trusted sites.

  1. From your browser's Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Click the "Security" tab.
  3. Click the green checkmark icon next to "Trusted sites."
  4. Click Sites.
  5. In the field next to "Add this website to the zone:" type https://ads.google.com or your country-specific Google domain, such as https://ads.google.es, if you usually use that URL.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click OK.
Reset security settings to "Medium"

If you use this solution, you will lose custom security settings.

  1. From your browser's Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Click the "Security" tab.
  3. If you don't see a security control bar, click Default Level to make it appear.
  4. Adjust the slider to Medium.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click OK.
Enable navigating sub-frames across different domains
  1. From your browser's Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Click the "Security" tab.
  3. Click Custom Level.
  4. In the text field next to "Settings," find the "Miscellaneous" section.
  5. In the "Miscellaneous" section, locate the "Navigate sub-frames across different domains" subsection.
  6. Select Enable.
  7. Click OK. If a pop-up window appears, click Yes.
  8. Click OK again.
Use a different browser

You can download several other browsers, including Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla for free. These browsers shouldn't give you this error.
