You can download templates for your conversion bulk uploads. Google Ads supports the following formats for bulk uploads: .csv, .tsv, .xls, .xlsx, and Google Sheets.
Download templates from Google Ads
- In your Google Ads account, click the Goals icon

- In the Conversions menu, select Uploads.
- Click the plus button
.
- Click the View templates link.
- Select a template format to download in the “Download templates” window.
Tip: The “Conversions from clicks (external attribution)" template allows you to upload partial conversion credit for each click. You can only use this option if you’ve set the attribution model for your import conversion action to external attribution.

Upload custom variable data
To upload custom variable data, format the template by following the steps below.
- Create a new column titled cv:variable_tag.
- Enter the variable value in the new column for each conversion.
