Cost per install: Definition

Cost per install (CPI) means that you pay for each app installation on a user device. For CPI bidding campaigns, you need to set a maximum cost per install bid or "max. CPI", which would be the average amount you'd like to spend each time someone clicks on the “Install” button on your ad.
