Wix: Set up your Google tag

You can measure behavioral data about your site with Google Ads and Google Analytics. Follow the steps in this article to set up your Google tag with Wix.

Before you begin

You can integrate your Wix site with Google for free but you must have a Premium Wix site and a connected domain.

The instructions for setting up the Google tag with Wix are different for tag IDs starting with "AW-" (usually, Google Ads accounts) and tag IDs starting with "G-" (usually, Google Analytics properties). 

If you have a tag ID starting with "AW-"

1. Sign in to your Wix account.
2. On the site dashboard, go to the “Marketing & SEO” section. Select Marketing Integrations.
3. Under Google Ads, click Connect
4. In the top right, click Connect Google Ads.
   
   
5. Paste your Google tag ID in the window without the "AW-".
6. Click Save.

If you have a tag ID starting with "G-"

1. Sign in to your Wix account.
2. On the site dashboard, go to the “Marketing & SEO” section. Select Marketing Integrations.
3. Under Google Analytics, click Connect.
   
4. In the top right, click Connect Google Analytics.
5. Paste your Google tag ID in the window.
6. Click Save.
