Google Glass & the consumer Google+ shutdown

On April 2, 2019, Google will shut down consumer Google+ accounts and pages. Read more details here. At that point, Google will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted. If you want to keep this content, you will need to download and save it before March 31.

On March 7, 2019, Google will be shutting down the Google+ APIs. Following the shutdown of those APIs, Google+ consumer and G Suite accounts will no longer be accessible from your Glass device.

Additionally, you no longer need a Google+ account to set up a Glass device.

What happens to your new Glass data

After March 7, all new data on your Glass device, like photos and videos taken with Glass, will be stored locally on the device. If you want to back up this data to an external device, you’ll need to manually transfer your Glass content to your computer.
