What you need
To use the Gemini web app at gemini.google.com on your personal Google Account, you need the following:
- A personal Google Account that you manage on your own. You still can’t access the Gemini web app with a Google Account managed by Family Link.
- Meet the minimum age requirement to use the Gemini web app:
- For the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the UK: you must be 18 or over.
- For other countries where the Gemini web app is available: you must be 13 (or the applicable age in your country) or over. If you’re under 18, you can currently use the Gemini web app in English only.
- A supported browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, or Edgium.

Use Gemini on your work or school Google Account
To use Gemini on your work or school Google Account, access must be enabled by your administrator. Learn more about how to use Gemini on your work or school Google Account.
Sign in to the Gemini web app
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top right, select Sign in.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
Sign out of the Gemini web app
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top right, select your Profile picture or initial.
- Select Sign out.
Can’t sign in to the Gemini web app
If you can’t sign in to your Google Account in the Gemini web app, select the message you get below to learn more.
Currently, you can use a personal Google Account that you manage on your own, or a work or school account for which your administrator has enabled access to Gemini. Also, you must be 18 or over to use Gemini with a work or school account or to use the Gemini web app in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the UK. To use the Gemini web app in other countries where it's is available, you must be 13 (or the applicable age in your country) or over. If you’re under 18, you can currently use the Gemini web app in English only.
