We announced a voluntary recall of Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, which the company introduced in 2017 and stopped producing in 2020. The battery in the Ionic smartwatch can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
The health and safety of Fitbit users is our highest priority. We are taking this action out of an abundance of caution for our users. We will offer a refund to Fitbit Ionic customers.
This recall is specific to Fitbit Ionic devices. It does not impact any other Fitbit smartwatches or trackers.
If you own a Fitbit Ionic, please stop using your device.

How do I get a refund?
To apply for your refund, visit our refund registration page to begin the refund process. After you complete the registration process, you’ll get your refund in 3-6 weeks.

You can find the model number FB503 on the back of Ionic, under the “CE” mark and above the clasp.
To see which device is connected to your Fitbit account:
- Tap the Today tab , and tap your profile picture.
- On the Account page, review the devices connected to your account.
