What is the UnitedHealthcare Motion Program?

UnitedHealthcare Motion is a program that rewards participants for walking by reducing out-of-pocket medical expenses. Wear your Fitbit device and earn financial rewards when you reach at least one goal per day.

To monitor progress on your FIT daily goals, you can install the FIT UHC app on certain Fitbit devices and the UHC Motion app on your phone. The FIT UHC app is optional and not required to earn rewards in the Motion program. For more information, see How do I set up my Fitbit device for the UnitedHealthcare Motion program?

What are the daily goals of the UnitedHealthcare Motion program?

To earn rewards in the UnitedHealthcare Motion program, you must reach at least 1 goal of frequency, intensity, or tenacity (FIT), per day:

  • Frequency: Complete 500 steps in 7 minutes, 6 times per day, at least 1 hour apart.
  • Intensity: Complete 3,000 steps in 30 minutes.
  • Tenacity: Complete at least 10,000 steps.

Note that if you participate in the UnitedHealthcare Motion program through your employer or healthcare provider, the goals for your program may be slightly different.

For more information on the FIT daily goals, visit the UnitedHealthcare Motion website.

Which Fitbit devices can I use in the UnitedHealthcare Motion program?

Use Fitbit Charge 2, Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Inspire HR, or Fitbit Inspire 2 to reach your daily goals for the UnitedHealthcare Motion program.

If you installed the FIT UHC app on your Fitbit device, open it to see your progress toward your three daily goals. To see your program history, check the UHC Motion app on your phone, or visit the UnitedHealthcare Motion website.
