Link Display & Video 360 and Campaign Manager 360 to Firebase

If you or the advertising agency you're working with would like to use Display & Video 360 or Campaign Manager 360 to track in-app events measured in Firebase as conversions (e.g., app_update or in_app_purchase), you can send an account-link request from one of these accounts to your Firebase project. Once linked, these Firebase events are treated as any other conversions for ads run on Google Marketing Platform display advertising products, and you can use them in attribution and/or bid optimization. For conversions attributed to Display & Video 360 or Campaign Manager 360, some campaign-specific information is returned back to Firebase for use in Analytics reporting.

The link between these products and Firebase can be initiated by users of either Display & Video 360 or Campaign Manager 360.

At a high level, the linking process consists of the following steps:

Step 1: An advertiser initiates the linking in Display & Video 360 or in Campaign Manager 360 which results in a notification email being sent to the project owners in Firebase.

Step 2: The developer reviews the link request in the Firebase console and approves the request.

Once the link is approved, advertisers can attribute conversions back to ads run on Google Marketing Platform display advertising products.

You can remove a linked account at any time. If a linked account is removed, Google Marketing Platform tracking for apps from the linked Firebase project is disabled.
