Cancel a recording

Cancel a single or multiple-show scheduled recording
This article applies to customers who have the new version of Fiber TV. If you have the older version of our user interface, please view this article on how to cancel a recording.

You can cancel any scheduled or in-progress recording. The steps to cancel a recording differ, depending on the type of recording:

To cancel a single-show recording or an episode in a series recording

  1. Press on the remote control, select DVR from the menu, and press ok.

  2. Select Scheduled at the top of the page and press ok.

  3. Select the recording you want to cancel and press ok.

  4. Select Cancel Recording and press ok.

    Alternatively, after you select the recording in the list, you can press google fiber remote delete button on the remote.
  5. In the confirmation message that appears, select Cancel Recording and press ok.

To cancel a multiple-show recording

  1. Press on the remote control, select DVR from the menu, and press ok.

  2. select Manage at the top of the page and press ok.

    A list of your recordings appears. Multiple-show recordings (such as a series or keyword recording) are grouped together.

  3. Select the series, keyword, team, or person recording and press ok.

  4. Select Cancel Recording and press ok.

    Alternatively, after you select the recording in the list, you can press google fiber remote delete button on the remote.
  5. In the confirmation message that appears, select Cancel Recording and press ok.

You can also cancel a recording from the online guide:

  1. In the online guide, find the show that's scheduled to be recorded or recording now. You'll see a recording icon next to the show's title. 

  2. Highlight the show, and then press again on the remote. 

  3. If the recording is for a series, select Just this or All Upcoming, depending on whether you want to delete a single episode or the entire series recording, and press ok

  4. Select Cancel Recording and press ok.

  5. In the confirmation message that appears, select Cancel Recording and press ok.
