Perform network administrative tasks

To perform network administrative tasks:

1. Sign in to Fiber using the email and password you use for your Fiber account.

2. Select Network at the top-left corner. (If you don’t see it, click the navigation menu to display the selection.

3. Click Advanced; then click Admin.

The Admin tab enables you to restart your Network Box and restore the original network settings on your Fiber devices.

These features are intended for specific situations only. Performing a restart/reset disrupts your network operation and might affect its configuration. If you have any questions about whether or how to use these features, contact GFiber customer support.

To restart your Network Box:

Most Network Box customers are eligible to upgrade to a Nest Wifi Pro Router. To learn more, visit the Router upgrade for Network Box customers article.

1. Click Restart Network Box. A confirmation message appears.

2. If you want to restart your Network Box, click OK.

   This action does not have the same effect as unplugging the Network Box and then plugging it back in. Restarting your Network Box disrupts network communications and drops all wireless connections. Your network will be unavailable until the Network Box finishes powering up and the LED on the front of the Network Box is solid blue.

To restore the original network settings to your Fiber devices:

1. Click Restore network settings. A confirmation message appears.

2. If you want to restore network settings, click OK.

   Restore network settings restarts your Network Box with the original factory configuration settings. Initiate this action only if nothing else resolves your problem. Restoring network settings disrupts all communications to and from your Network Box, drops all wireless connections, and interrupts all data and video streams. Your network will be unavailable until the Network Box finishes powering back up and the LED displays solid blue.
