Launch VUDU (legacy)

This article applies to customers who have the legacy version of Fiber TV. If you have the new version of our user interface, please view this article on how to launch VUDU.

You must activate the VUDU app included with Google Fiber TV before you can use VUDU to watch movies and other content. If you do not have a VUDU account, you can visit vudu.com for details on how it works and to sign up for an account, or you can sign up on your TV.

You can set up parental controls to restrict the use of VUDU on any TV Box in your home.

To watch content from VUDU after you activate the app:

  1. On the TV Box where you want to watch content from VUDU, press  on the remote control, and then select Apps & More.

The Apps & More screen appears.

  2. Select VUDU.

    VUDU launches.

  3. Browse through the content, select the item you want to watch, and follow the on-screen prompts to purchase and play the content.

Alternatively, you can watch content from VUDU by searching for it with the Google Fiber TV Search feature. When you select a VUDU movie or a show from search results, a message prompts you to confirm that you want to play the video from VUDU. When you press ok, you go directly to the details for that show in VUDU. You do not have to go through the VUDU selection process at all. Simply purchase and play the show as usual from VUDU.

When you watch a show in VUDU that was found in a search, you can press  or on the remote control to stop the show, exit VUDU, and return to live TV.
