About Google Fiber TV apps (legacy)

This article applies to customers who have the legacy version of Fiber TV. If you have the new version of our user interface, please view this article on how to use Google Fiber TV apps.

TV apps are video, audio, social networking, and other types of applications that appear on your TV. You can use these apps to access more content than is available on regular TV channels.

Google Fiber TV includes Netflix, VUDU, YouTube, and Weather. In the future, we will add more apps, so you can do more with your TV.

To view the TV apps available, press  on the remote control, and then select Apps & More.

TV apps are separate from Google Fiber TV, and some have their own navigation and organization of content. When you are using a TV app, your experience is being controlled by the app, not Google Fiber TV. So, although some of the remote control buttons do work within the apps, not all of them are functional.

The remote control buttons that do not have functionality within the TV apps are:

Search icon

At any time, you can press  on the remote control to leave an application and return to the main TV interface.

You can find detailed information about the functionality of each button on the remote by reviewing the Bluetooth remote control article.
