Watch video on demand
Video on demand (VOD) is a library of content available as part of the Google Fiber TV service that you can watch at your convenience. There is no need to record VOD content, since you can watch anything in the current library at any time.
A lot of VOD content is free of charge, and you can watch it at any time.
Some VOD content costs a small fee. In those cases, the content is available for you to watch for 24 to 48 hours (depending on the content). The fee for all VOD rentals in one month will appear on your bill the next month. For example, if you rent a video in January, it will appear on your February 1 bill.
Some VOD content is available free of charge, but only if you subscribe to the channel or network providing the content. For example, if you subscribe to Showtime, you can watch Showtime VOD content free of charge at any time.
To watch VOD content:
Select On Demand on the main menu.
Alternatively, you can select Fiber On Demand on the on-screen guide.
Select Genres, Movies, TV Shows, Rentals, By Network, or Local on the On Demand menu.
The On Demand screen lists the VOD content of the selected type that is currently available to you.
Select, purchase (if there is a fee), and play the show you want to watch according to the instructions in Browse on-demand content.
You can use the pause, rewind, and fast forward options on your remote control while watching some VOD content. Fast-forward and skip-forward are not available in all VOD content.
You can stop watching VOD content at any time by pressing on the remote control, and then return to watch it later from wherever you left off. (See the "Rentals" section in Browse on-demand content for more information about rented VOD.)
