GFiber residential customers who have the Free/Basic Plan or who have a pre-installed Network Box, and GFiber business customers, aren’t eligible for this upgrade. Customers who cancel their service will have to pay a replacement fee (including any applicable taxes) if they fail to return equipment within 60 days after cancellation. Network Boxes may be responsibly recycled, and customers won’t be charged a replacement fee if they do not return the Network Box to GFiber.}

What is the Nest Wifi Pro equipment upgrade?

Nest Wifi Pro will give you access to faster wireless connections in your home for Wi-Fi 6E compatible devices and less Wi-Fi congestion when compared to your Network Box.²

You'll need to order a self-install kit to start the upgrade. Your kit will contain: 

1. A Nest Wifi Pro router

2. A Nest Wifi Pro power adapter

3. A Fiber Jack power adapter

 4. An Ethernet cable

Who needs to get their Nest Wifi Pro router professionally installed?

While most customers with Network Boxes can upgrade using a self-install kit, some of our customers have an older, first-generation Fiber Jack that needs to be replaced before they can make the change.

How do I return my Network Box?

Network Boxes don’t need to be returned to GFiber. If you decide you want to return your device you can chat with us – or simply dispose of it responsibly at your local e-waste recycling center.
