Cancel or change your Project Fi order

You can cancel your Project Fi phone order up to the time it starts to be prepared for shipment. If you need to make changes to an order, you'll need to cancel it and then place a new one. You can't make changes to an existing order.

Cancel your phone order

It usually takes about an hour for your order to start getting prepared for shipment. You can cancel it anytime before then. To cancel your phone order, you’ll need to go online to the Google Store:

  1. Open your Google Store order history. Sign in to your Google account if you haven’t already.
  2. Search your list of orders and find the one you want to cancel.
  3. Click Order Details.
  4. Click Cancel order. If you don't see "Cancel order," that means your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled.

If you’re able to cancel your order, you’ll receive an email confirming your cancellation.

If you can’t cancel your phone order

Once your order has started to be prepared for shipment, we won’t be able to stop delivery, but you can choose to not accept the package. You’ll have to be at the delivery address when the package arrives and refuse the delivery in person. Once the phone is returned to our warehouse, you’ll receive a refund on the card you used for your order.

You can also return your phone for a full refund within 15 days of delivery. SIM kits cannot be returned. Learn more about returning your phone.

Is my order for Project Fi service also canceled?

If you’ve successfully canceled your Project Fi phone order, you won’t have activated your Project Fi service, so you won’t need to cancel it. If you chose to transfer your current number to Project Fi when you placed your order, don’t worry, your existing service won’t be interrupted.
