Mention classmates in your posts

You can get someone’s attention in a post in Classroom. For example, you might want to invite a fellow student or teacher to join a discussion about a question or post. If you want, you can get an email notification when someone mentions you.

+mention someone

1. Go to classroom.google.com and click Sign In.

   Sign in with your Google Account. For example, [e-mail] or [e-mail]. Learn more.

2. Click the class.
3. On the Stream page, under a post, click Add class comment. 
4. Enter + or @ followed by the person's email address. As you enter text, a list appears.
5. Select the name that you want and press Enter to add them to the post.

   Note: If you don't see the name you want, enter the full email address.

6. Enter your message and click Post.

View comments

You can see comments on the Stream page. If you have notifications turned on, you'll see the comment in the email notification.
