Upload conversions

Use the DCM API to upload offline conversions

If you use DoubleClick Campaign Manager for managing and reporting on display campaigns, you can upload conversions from the DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM) API instead of DoubleClick Search.

Should you use DS or DCM? 

Use DoubleClick Search (DS) if you don't run Paid Search reports in Report Builder or don't need to see search-driven offline conversions in your DCM reports.

Use DCM if you run Paid Search reports in Report Builder and can identify conversions by encrypted user ID, mobile device ID, or Google click ID.

It's important that you use either DS or DCM, but not both: conversions you upload from both products are not deduplicated and may cause data discrepancies.

Note: The DCM API doesn't support availability timestamps, so make sure you upload conversions at least every 24 hours or use DS bulksheets or the DS API to upload an availability timestamp. Learn more

Using data transfer files to report offline conversions is not supported. Even though offline conversions may appear in the files, the data may not be complete.

You may see offline conversions in cross-environment reports if they are uploaded within a day. However, it's recommended that you don't add offline Floodlight activities to cross-environment reports.

In DS:
DS DDA models can only be applied to DCM offline conversions that are uploaded within 24 hours. Other attribution models are applied to offline DCM conversions just like online conversions.

If you use a third-party vendor to track and upload offline conversions, be aware that some vendors may onlyallow their data to be used for reporting, so their offline conversions will not available for remarketing. Check with your vendor for details.
