Google Drive login issue (Mac)

Macbook Pro, Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.1)

I have an issue where because the account Google Drive was attached to no longer exists, Google Drive will no longer let me login with any accounts.

1) I installed Google Drive successfully and used it for a while, linked with my work google account.
2) I then left the company I was working at, and so deleted that google account.

Google Drive now gives the error message "Error - click here to sign in again". If I try and sign in with my personal google account, it says "The account you entered does not match. Please sign in again with your [previous email address] account to proceed" - however, the account no longer exists.

I have deleted the application and reinstalled twice, deleting all relevant files from the library folder each time.

Any suggestions for fixing this?

Hi

Google Drive is linked to your Google Account.  If you delete your Account you can no longer access the data linked with it

Best regards

I'm aware of that - the point is that my computer won't let me login with my new account because I can only sign in with the old, non-existent account. Deleting the application and all the preferences doesn't seem to solve this either.

Delete the Google Drive app again and then try deleting the folder "/Users/<your_username>/Library/Application Support/Google/Drive". Reinstall the app and you should be able to set it up from scratch.
