Google Drive folder on FAT32 HDD not accepted

Hi, I'm trying to move my Drive folder to my HDD disc (from the SDD, due to limited storage), but it keeps saying I can use only a NTFS disc which is not connected via network. Is there any way to solve this issue without formatting the HDD drive? I've disconnected my account and reinstalled drive on my PC, but no fix.Thanks.Matyas

Hi Matyas,

Welcome to the Google Drive Help Forum.

Per my understanding, you are getting issues while using Google Drive Sync Client. This might also happen when there is slightly an error with the version of the app that you are using. I'd recommend installing Backup & sync through the below steps which is an upgraded version of Google Drive Sync client:

To download and install Backup and Sync, click Download Backup and Sync.

DOWNLOAD BACKUP AND SYNC

  1. On your computer, click Download for PC.
  2. Read the Terms of Service and click Agree and download.
  3. After it’s downloaded, open installbackupandsync.exe.
  4. If you see a window asking if you want to allow the program to make changes on your computer, click Yes.
  5. If you’re asked to restart your computer, do it now.
  6. Start Backup and Sync.
  7. Sign in with your Google Account username and password.
  8. Choose your sync settings and click Next.
You can also refer to this help center to know more about back up & sync files with Google Drive

If the issue still persists, please share a screenshot of the error hiding sensitive information. If this is not what you are looking for, please write back with some more information.

Let me know how it works.

Best,
Andrew

Any idea when this will be release? I currently have a hackintosh and I'd like to have my google drive (backup and sync) on an internal exFAT drive that can run on both the windows and mac OS.
