Keyboard shortcuts for Google drawings

Below you can find a list of keyboard shortcuts available for Google drawings.

If you use a Mac, you can use the shortcuts below by replacing Ctrl with Command key (or 'Apple' key).

Move a gridline Up / Down / Left / Right arrow
Move a pixel Shift+Up/Down/Left/Right
Move up/down in Z-order Ctrl+Up/Down
Move object to the Top or bottom of Z order Ctrl+Shift+Up/Down
Group selected objects Ctrl+G
Ungroup selected objects Ctrl+Shift+G
Delete and add to clipboard Ctrl+X*

Add selection to clipboard

Paste clipboard contents Ctrl+V*
Duplicates selection Ctrl+D*
Delete selection Delete, Backspace*

* When an object in your drawing is selected, these keyboard shortcuts have different functions:

  • Ctrl+X: Cut shapes
  • Ctrl+C: Copy shapes
  • Ctrl+V: Paste shapes
  • Ctrl+D: Add a duplicate of selected shapes
  • Delete, Backspace: Delete selected shapes

There are many useful features available in Gogle drawings if you use keyboard modifiers when performing other actions.
