You can restore a domain for up to 30 days after it’s been deleted. This includes domains that you manually deleted or that are automatically deleted after their registration expires.
- To restore a domain after it’s been deleted, you must pay a one-time restoration fee.
- Google Domains can’t waive this fee.
- To avoid restoration fees, before their registration expires, set up your domain names to auto renew.
- You can find info about grace periods, restoration fees, and registration fees by domain ending on their appropriate page in the reference of domain ending (TLD) details. Learn more about policies for expiration and deletion of domain registrations.
Tips:
- A one-year registration renewal cost is included with the fee to restore the domain.
- If your domain expired more than 45 days ago, it may be available for registration. To register it, search for the domain. If it’s available, follow the steps to buy the domain.
