After you buy a domain, you can create and connect a Firebase project to support your mobile app, web app, or static site.

Create a Firebase project on your domain
- On your computer, open Google Domains.
- Sign in with the Google Account you used to buy your domain.
- Click the domain name you want to manage.
- Open the Menu .
- Click Website Build website.
- Under “Static hosting Powered by Firebase,” click Continue Start with Firebase.
- If you have multiple Google Accounts, select the account you used to buy your domain.
- Click Add project.
- Follow the instructions on Firebase.
Connect your Firebase project to your domain
- On the Firebase menu, select Hosting Get started.
- On the Hosting overview page, click Add custom domain.
- Enter the domain name you want to use. If you enter the correct root domain or subdomain, for example, www.example.com or app.example.com, the domain will be verified.
- Under “Value,” copy the IP addresses of both A records.
- Go to Google Domains.
- Click Menu DNS Custom resource records Add.
- Enter both IP addresses copied from Firebase.
- To add multiple IP addresses to an A record, click Add more to this record.
- Return to Firebase.
- Click Finish.
Tip: Updates may take up to 48 hours to take effect. If the domain URL doesn’t load after 48 hours, contact Firebase support.
