Scheduling people and organising per day

Hi all,

I've been trying to make a formula that pulls information out of a schedule, to use the information to send out a daily work schedule to staff.

Here's a link to the sheet with an 'Example answer' tab of how I'm trying to get the information on the 'Schedule' tab organised. I have included previous tabs for reference:

I managed to make a version myself, but it used loads of different steps and didn't always seem to work, so any help would be very much appreciated!

All the best, George

hi there - if you're willing to adjust the schedule's format slightly, this is a fairly straightforward thing to do.

The re-formatting i'm suggesting is to include the date to the right of every entry in each date table. i did this in white text in white background so you can't see them in the EM Schedule tab.

EM Schedule and EM Example show what i mean.  This works, but i dont see how this scales very nicely - what does your full calendar look like?

Hi Eric,

Apologies for the slow reply. This is very useful, thanks.

The only issue it seems to have is when there's two names in the box, separated by a comma. I tried to create something using SPLIT, but the filter function seems to only work with one column at a time.

Do you have any ideas?

Many thanks, George
