Presentar diapositivas con subtítulos

Cuando presentas diapositivas, puedes activar los subtítulos automáticos para mostrar las palabras del orador en tiempo real. Esta función es compatible con las versiones más recientes de los navegadores Chrome, Firefox, Edge y Safari.

Step 1: Set up your microphone

To use captions with Google Slides, your computer microphone needs to be on and working.

Devices and microphones vary, so check your computer manual for instructions. Microphone settings are typically in the System Preferences on a Mac, or the Control Panel on a PC.

Google Slides uses the computer’s microphone or an external microphone paired with the computer.

Step 2: Present with captions

1. Conéctate a Internet.
2. Abre la presentación en Presentaciones de Google.
3. Para iniciar la presentación, haz clic en Presentar o presiona la combinación de teclas de tu navegador:
   • Chrome OS: Ctrl + Buscar + 5
   • Windows: Ctrl + F5
   • Mac: ⌘ + Mayúsculas + Intro 
4. En la esquina inferior izquierda de la pantalla de presentación, haz clic en Más opciones Preferencias de subtítulos Activa o desactiva los subtítulos o presiona la combinación de teclas de tu navegador:
   • Chrome OS o Windows: Ctrl + Mayúsculas + c
   • Mac: ⌘ + Mayúsculas + c
5. Los subtítulos aparecerán en la parte inferior de la pantalla a medida que hables. Ten en cuenta que no incluyen signos de puntuación.
6. Para cambiar la posición o el tamaño del texto, junto a "CC", haz clic en el menú desplegable .
7. Para desactivar los subtítulos, haz clic en CC o presiona la combinación de teclas de tu navegador:
   • Chrome OS o Windows: Ctrl + Mayúsculas + c
   • Mac: ⌘ + Mayúsculas + c

Tip: Captions are not stored. 

Tips for using captions 

• Si presentas diapositivas mediante un software de videoconferencias (como Google Meet), los subtítulos aparecerán en la pantalla compartida. Para que tu audiencia esté al tanto, te recomendamos mencionar que los subtítulos son de Presentaciones de Google, no del software de videoconferencias, y que solo se transcribe lo que dice el orador.
• Algunas personas consideran que los subtítulos son una distracción, por lo que quizás quieras preguntarle a tu audiencia antes de activarlos.
• Si la computadora está inactiva durante 30 minutos, los subtítulos y el micrófono se desactivarán automáticamente. 

Troubleshoot captions

If captions aren't working, try these tips: 

• Reduce background noise or move to a quieter room.
• In your system and browser preferences, check your microphone settings.
• Plug in an external microphone. 
• Check that your microphone is plugged in and isn't being used by another application.
• Change the input volume on your microphone.
• Restart your computer.
• Clear your browser’s cache.

Tip: Caption text is powered by machine learning. It depends on audio input from the speaker, including the speaker's accent, voice modulation, and intonation. As language understanding models use billions of common phrases and sentences to automatically transcribe spoken words, they can also reflect human cognitive biases. As a result, captions might not be a complete and accurate transcription of the speaker's words. Google is committed to making products that work well for everyone, and we're actively researching unintended bias, mitigation strategies, and ways to improve quality.
