Change page settings on Google Docs

You can update your page size and page orientation, and preview how your Google Doc will look when printed.

Important: These features aren't available in documents that are in pageless format. To use these features, make sure your document is in pages format

Change page setup of a Google Doc

First, download the Google Docs app for iPhone or iPad.

Change page size, color, or orientation
  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Docs app.
  2. Open a document.
  3. In the top right, tap More .
  4. Tap Page setup.
  5. Select the setting you want to change:
    • Orientation
    • Paper size
    • Page color
  6. Make your changes.
See & change how your document looks when printed

You can edit your file while in print layout mode to see how it will look when it’s printed.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open a file in the Google Docs app.
  2. Tap More .
  3. Turn Print layout on.
  4. Tap Edit Edit.
