Archive campaigns, insertion orders, and line items

When you no longer need to see a campaign, insertion order, or line item, you can archive it to hide it from the regular views. 

When you archive campaigns, insertion orders, and line items, they're automatically paused and filtered from view. If you later decide you'd like to use something you've archived, you can unarchive campaigns, or duplicate archived insertion orders or line items. (If you archive an insertion order or line item, you can't unarchive the original.) 

Considerations

  • Display & Video 360 will automatically archive line items that have stopped serving after 6 months of inactivity.
  • To view impressions, clicks, conversions, and other metrics for archived items , create a report following the instructions below.

Archive campaigns, insertion orders, and line items

Use the Action menu to hide items that no longer need to be visible in Display & Video 360.

  1. Start by opening your advertiser, then click Campaign in the left menu.
  2. Navigate to the view for insertion orders or line items. 
  3. Select the items you wish to archive. 
  4. Click Action > Archive.

View archived items

  1. Start by opening your advertiser, then click Campaign in the left menu.
  2. On the right side of the page, click  for additional options and select if you want to view archived insertion orders or line items.

Delete a line item

Only archived line items can be deleted. Once the line item is archived:

  1. On the right side of the page, click  for additional options and select Line items to view archived line items.
  2. Check the box next to the line item.
  3. Click Action > Delete.

The line item will no longer be visible in the archived line items view after refreshing the page.

Unarchive a campaign

To unarchive a campaign, first follow the steps above to view archived items, then follow the steps below:

  1. Select the campaigns you wish to unarchive.
  2. Click Action > Unarchive.

Unarchived campaigns will be restored as "Paused" and will manually need to be marked "Active" if you want them to serve again. 

Duplicate archived insertion orders and line items

Although you can't unarchive or restore archived insertion orders or line items, you can recover the settings and properties of any archived insertion orders or line items by duplicating them into new insertion orders or line items.

Follow the steps above to view archived items, then follow the steps below:

  1. Select the items you wish to duplicate.
  2. Click Action > Duplicate.
  3. Select a destination for the duplicated item.
  4. Click Save.

Duplicated insertion orders and line items will be restored as "Paused" and will manually need to be marked "Active" if you want them to serve.

Reporting on archived campaigns, insertion orders, and line items

Follow the steps below to create a report that allows you to view archived items:

  1. Create an offline report that includes data for an entire advertiser.
  2. Add dimensions for campaigns, insertion orders, line items, or creatives based on what archived item you’d like to see in the report.
  3. Download the report.
  4. Filter by the archived item in the downloaded report.
