About price transparency reports

This article is for customers who use Google's online and offline solutions and receive data from end users in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Advertisers in the EEA can now access reports that show daily fees at the billable event level for ads displayed on third-party or Google-owned surfaces. Price transparency reports will provide a downloadable price data file that show details for each billable advertisement. Advertisers in the EEA can access the following information in their price data files:

  • The total amount paid to Google
  • The buy side auction fee
  • The auction gross revenue (where ads are shown on non-Google properties)
  • The pricing used to calculate payment (e.g. CPC, CPM)

How it works

Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360 advertiser accounts with billing addresses in the EEA can access price transparency reports. If you change an advertiser’s billing address to be outside of the EEA, then the price transparency report will no longer be available. Learn more about how to opt in to access price data.

Once you enable access to price transparency reports for an advertiser, you can access the price transparency report via a Data Transfer file. Learn more about Data Transfer v2.0.

The exact amount you received for each billable advertisement will be made available to advertisers based in the EEA. For Display & Video 360 advertisers, aggregated price data metrics will be available by default in sell-side reports for publishers based in the EEA. You have the option to share price data with publishers to disclose the exact amount you were charged for each billable advertisement.

What to expect for the report

Each price transparency report contains one day’s worth of price data. Keep in mind the following:

  • After opting in, the report will be available within 48 hours and accessible for 60 days.
  • After 90 days of inactivity, you will need to re-enable access by opting in to accessing non-aggregate price data.

You may notice differences in the data in the downloaded files and your account dashboards or or billing invoices. This can occur for many reasons, including:

  • Reporting only EEA vs. Global traffic
  • Adjustments for invalid traffic
  • Event signals received after file generation
  • Rounding of monetary values, currency conversions, volume, or other adjustments.

Your reports are displayed in the account or network's default currency.
