Genre targeting

Use genre targeting to target your ads based on related groups of audio and video inventory across websites and apps.

When you target a given genre, you will also automatically target all of the subcategories underneath the parent category. For example, if you target "/Arts & Entertainment", you will also automatically target "/Music & Audio", "/TV & Video", and so on.

At the insertion order level and in connected TV line items Display & Video 360 can suggest additional categories or genres that have worked well on similar campaigns. Toggle Automatically apply similar targeting across groups in the category or genre picker to disable or engage this option.

What genres are available?

The following is a list of the broad types of genres that are targetable in real-time bidding insertion orders, connected TV insertion orders, connected TV line items, audio line items, and video line items.

To get the most up-to-date list of targetable categories in Display & Video 360, create an Inventory Availability report and group by "Genre".
