See how manual and historical adjustments affect your forecast

Note: This feature is currently in beta release to a few customers.

When you check the available inventory for a new line item (using the Check inventory button) or an existing line item (using the Delivery forecast and contending line items tab), you can see how manual and historical adjustments affect the forecasting numbers. Adjustments can significantly change a forecast, and you may not even know about adjustments that other users set. This feature adds transparency to the forecasting numbers by listing how many impressions were added or subtracted as a result of the adjustments.

The window includes the following:

  • Unadjusted matched impressions, which shows what the matched for specific targeting criteria value would have been without any adjustments.

  • A list of how many impressions were added or subtracted as a result of the adjustments. It individually displays up to 10 adjustments that had the biggest impact on impressions, and then combines the remaining adjustments in one row if there were more than 10 adjustments that affected the simulation.

  • Adjusted matched impressions, which displays the actual number of matched impressions in the forecast. This value equals the sum of the Unadjusted matched impressions and the changes from each adjustment.

The View forecast adjustment link appears only if you’re participating in the beta for forecast adjustments and there are forecast adjustments that affect the relevant line items.

Follow these steps:

  1. Check the available inventory for a line item.
The Delivery forecast section displays the forecast.

  2. Above the “Forecast summary” section, click View forecast adjustment.
A window with the details appears.
