Embed Stories

Embedding stories is similar to embedding exhibits, with the difference that a few steps are done in the GA&C Story Editor.

Here's how to embed a story:

Enable the "Embed" publishing option

1. In the CMS, click on the  "Stories" button to open the Story Editor
2. Click on the story you want to embed
3. On the story page, click on the  settings icon
4. In the dialog that appears, check the "Allow story to be embedded" box.

Copy the embed code into your website

After checking the "Allow story to be embedded" box in the previous section, a menu should appear.

1. Choose an appropriate frame size. This controls how large the embedded item will appear
   1. For stories, you have the choice between multiple ratios: 4:3, square, 16:9 and 3:2.
      1. After selecting a ratio, enter the desired width of the frame. The height will be automatically calculated based on the aspect ratio selected
   2. To use a custom size, select "Custom" and then enter both the width and height
2. Choose the controls you want users to have on your embed.
   1. You can allow them to see the content in fullscreen.
3. Choose the appearance of the embedded frame.
   1. You can select a white frame or a dark frame.
4. Copy and paste the code generated into a suitable location in the source code of your website
5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the settings dialog

Ensure the website domain is permitted to embed your content

Only websites on domains permitted on the  Embed page are allowed to embed your items. Learn more about how to control which websites can embed your content.
