About your free Cloud Identity Premium trial

When you sign up online for Cloud Identity Premium Edition, you start with a 14-day trial subscription. Up to 50 users can explore all the features of Cloud Identity during your trial.

During your trial

See when your trial ends

Find out how many days are left in your trial period in the Google Admin console.

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenSubscriptions.

See the days remaining in your Cloud Identity trial listed next to your Cloud Identity subscription.

Add more than 50 users

Your Cloud Identity trial is limited to 50 users. To add more than 50 users, you must set up Cloud Identity billing. When you add a 51st user, you are prompted to end your trial and your paid subscription begins for all users.

Starting your paid subscription

If you already added your billing information, you don’t need to do anything. Your paid subscription automatically begins when your trial ends.

To check your billing information:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenPayment accounts.
  3. Point to your subscription to View payment settings or View payment methods.

If your trial period ends and you haven’t set up billing, you receive an email that your Cloud Identity Premium account is suspended. You can still access the Admin console and all your data is retained.

You can reactivate your account by setting up your billing.

Cancel your trial

Cancel your trial and delete your account

These instructions apply to your Cloud Identity trial. If your paid subscription has started, you'll need to cancel your Cloud Identity subscription.

Note: If you purchased your domain when you signed up for Cloud Identity, follow the steps below.

When you delete your account, all Cloud Identity data and user accounts are deleted per Google’s Privacy Policy. If you need to save user data, export it before you delete your account. Also, delete any Marketplace apps you might have added.

You won’t be able to access your Cloud Identity service or the Admin console again after completing the following steps.

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenSubscriptions.
  3. Delete any other subscriptions you might have purchased along with Cloud Identity, for example, additional Google Drive storage.
  4. Click your Cloud Identity subscriptionand thenCancel subscription.
  5. Select a reason for cancelingand thenclick Continue.
  6. Check the box to confirm that you want to cancel your subscription, and enter your admin email address.
  7. Click Cancel my subscription.
  8. In the Cancellation successful dialog, click Close.

    The Subscriptions page should now show no subscriptions.

  9. Click Delete your account, then sign in again to your account.
  10. From the Admin console home page, click Account settingsand thenAccount management.
  11. Click Delete account.
  12. Check the box to confirm that you want to delete your account.

    Once your account is deleted:

    • Your Cloud Identity account and all user accounts are deleted.
    • You won’t be able to sign in to Google services with this account.
    • All user data is deleted.
  13. Click Delete account to delete your account.

    You’ll be signed out of Admin console and brought back to the product page. You can’t sign in to the Admin console after this point.

Note: After deleting your account, you can create a new Cloud Identity account with this domain. You might have to wait up to 24 hours for your domain to be available for a new account.

Cancel your trial (domain purchased during signup)

If you purchased your domain when you signed up for Cloud Identity, you continue to manage your domain in the Admin console after your Cloud Identity trial ends. If you want to delete your Google account, you should first transfer your domain.

If you need to save user data, export it before you delete your account. Also, delete any Marketplace apps you might have added.

Step 1. Cancel your trial

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using an account with super administrator privileges (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenSubscriptions.

    Your Cloud Identity and Domain Registration subscriptions are listed.

  3. Click your Cloud Identity subscriptionand thenCancel subscription.
  4. Select a reason for cancelingand thenclick Continue.
  5. Check the box to confirm that you want to cancel your subscription, and enter your admin email address.
  6. Click Cancel my subscription.

When you cancel your subscription, you’re signed out of the Admin console.

Step 2. Manage your domain

  1. Sign back in to the Admin console.
  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Accountand thenDomains.
  3. Click Manage domains.
  4. Click View Details for the domain.
  5. Under Manage your domain subscription, click Manage domain.

Step 3. Transfer your domain (optional)

If your domain is hosted by Google Domains, you can transfer domain management to another Google account.

Otherwise, you can transfer your domain to another host after 60 days from when you purchased it (according to ICANN regulations). For details, go to transfer your domain to a different domain host.
