4: Set up device management for your organization

To manage ChromeOS Flex devices using the Google Admin console, you need an upgrade for each device that you want to enroll. You can then manage ChromeOS Flex devices alongside other ChromeOS devices that are enrolled in your organization.

Depending on what Chrome service best suits your organization’s needs, you can get upgrades for ChromeOS Flex devices.

Set up a trial

With a ChromeOS Enterprise Upgrade trial, you can manage up to 50 devices for 30 days.

Use the Admin console if you:

Are a Google Workspace or Cloud Identity customer.
Purchased Google Workspace directly from Google on a domain verified account.

Are not a managed user under an existing Chrome, Google Workspace, or Cloud Identity Subscription.

Purchase upgrades for ChromeOS Flex devices

You can purchase upgrades during your trial or wait until it ends. Near the end of your trial, you’ll get an email letting you know that you need to purchase upgrades.

Kiosk & Signage Upgrade

There is no free trial for Kiosk & Signage Upgrade. You’ll need to purchase upgrades for the Kiosk & Signage service to enroll devices in your organization.

ChromeOS Education Upgrade

There is no free trial for ChromeOS Education Upgrade. You’ll need to purchase upgrades for ChromeOS Education Upgrade to enroll devices in your organization.

I have a managed Google Account—If you’re a Google Workspace for Education customer, don't sign up for a ChromeOS Enterprise Upgrade Trial. Instead, to purchase upgrades for ChromeOS Education Upgrade, contact your sales representative or authorized partner.
