You'll need a phone, tablet, or laptop computer to set up Chromecast. You can set up Chromecast by first navigating to cast.google.com/chromecast/setup. Tell us a little more about where you're having trouble:

  • I can't connect to the Wi-Fi network that I'm selecting
  • I don't see my Wi-Fi network listed during setup
  • I don't see my Chromecast listed in the Chromecast setup app

Please note: The Google Cast extension is available on all platforms, including Chrome OS, Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. There are no specific hardware requirements in order to install or use the Google Cast extension, however some device configurations will be better suited for casting a tab than others.

Please note: Guest mode is only available for Android devices (phone/tablet) running Android 4.3 (JB MR2) or higher. iOS devices are currently not supported.

  • I can't see the guest mode PIN on the Chromecast’s backdrop
