To confirm if your mobile device and your Google Nest or Home speaker or display are on the same Wi-Fi network, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Check the Wi-Fi network of your mobile device or tablet
- On your Android device, tap Settings
open your device’s Network and Wi-Fi settings. The Wi-Fi network labeled "Connected" is the network your mobile device is connected to. Your Wi-Fi network must match the network that your speaker or display is connected to.
- If your Wi-Fi network doesn’t match, or if you need to change the network:
- Tap a new network
enter password
Connect.
- If you've entered the password for that network before, you just need to tap the network and your device should connect automatically.

Step 2. Check the Wi-Fi network of your speaker or display
- Open the Google Home app
.
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right corner, tap Settings
