Firmware version and system updates

Check the firmware version of your streaming device

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
3. Tap Settings Device information.
4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware version: "X.XXX.XXXXX."

Download the latest system update for your streaming device

Your device usually downloads updates automatically. To manually download the latest update, follow these steps:

1. Go to the home screen of your streaming device.
2. Choose All settings System.
3. Select About System update.
