Cast your Android screen from the Google Home app

Note:

  • This feature is only available on devices running Android 8.0 or later.
  • To help make sure that your Android device has enough power for the duration of your screen cast, turn on its low-power mode or Battery Saver.

Cast your screen from your Android device

  1. Turn on microphone permission for Google Play services on your Android device.
  2. Make sure that your mobile phone or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Google streaming device.
  3. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  4. Tap Favourites or Devices .
  5. Tap and hold the tile of the device that you want to cast your screen to.
  6. Tap Cast and then Cast my screen and then Cast screen and then Cast one app and then choose the app that you want to cast.

To stop casting your screen, on the same screen, tap and hold your device's tileStop mirroring .
